Design Decisions

Registered via META-INF/services SPI for auto-discovery. Implements lifecycle hooks: init(), register web mounts, REST endpoints.

Gotchas & Pitfalls

Plugin init() fires during Spring context startup. Dependencies from other plugins may be unavailable — use @Lazy or ObjectProvider.
